Pyramid Consulting Twice Named as One of Atlanta's Fastest Growing Private Companies

Pyramid Consulting Inc., a global provider of IT products and services that improve productivity and reduce costs, today announced it has been named one of Atlanta's top 50 fastest-growing private companies for the second year running by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in its annual Pacesetters Awards. For more than a decade, Pyramid has experienced consistent growth in customer base, revenue, job creation and employment. The company has been profitable since its inception and has not incurred any long-term debt.
"It is very difficult to maintain growth over an extended period of time," said Sanjeev Tirath, CEO and co-founder of Pyramid Consulting. "However, I am proud to say that our organization has successfully sustained strategic growth and we have consistently met our end goal of greater ROI to our customer base," he added.
To qualify for the list, companies must have their headquarters in Atlanta (subsidiaries of other companies are not included), and must have 2005 revenue between $1 million and $300 million. Firms must have a two-year growth in sales of more than 50 percent. Companies are ranked by a growth index formula, which is used to level the playing field among companies of different sizes. Factors in the formula include the percent change and absolute change in revenue and number of employees from 2003 through 2005. The results are ranked against those of all companies on the list. Employee growth was weighted 40 percent and revenue growth was weighted 60 percent.
In addition to being named as Atlanta’s fifteenth fastest growing private company, Pyramid recently announced that its New Delhi, India outsourced development Center – Pyramid IT Consulting – has a achieved Maturity Level 4 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). With this certification, Pyramid is confirmed to deliver process-driven business solutions for its clients. In addition, Pyramid was also listed in the Who’s Who in Asian American Communities in Georgia for 2006 and was also ranked in 2005 as 63rd among the nation's 100 top minority-owned businesses in Minority Business News Magazine 100.
